If you thought we were excited about that Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Azealia Banks and Beyonce collab, this is even more major. Beyonce just announced on her Facebook page that after eight years, Destiny’s Child is finally back with original music. Amaze-balls!
The newest Destiny’s Child album–yes, including Bey, Kelly and Michelle–is called Destiny’s Child – Love Songs and it’s actually a compilation of DC’s most amazing slow jams from 1998 through 2004. But there’s brand new ish, too! The very last song on the disc–called “Nuclear”–is a never-before-heard Destiny’s Child track produced by Pharrell Williams. DC plus Pharrell–how could that be bad?
And let’s not forget, Bey’s Superbowl performance is less than a month away. Given the timing of this epic DC announcement, we can only wonder if Kelly and Michelle will be joining her on stage. A Destiny’s Child reunion is totally worth sitting through the first half of the Superbowl!
Destiny’s Child – Love Songs officially goes on sale on January 29, but it’s now available for pre-order on Amazon for just $9. And in case you were wondering, here’s the complete track list:
