This Is The Best (And Easiest!) Way To Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Even though you may not do it as often as you should, cleaning your makeup brushes is a must! Not only do clean makeup brushes help apply your makeup more smoothly, but they also prevent bacteria growth and irritation of your skin!

But no worries! Cleaning your makeup brushes can actually be quite simple! Follow these steps at least once a month and you will be good to go!

Step 1: Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and add in your soap of choice. My favorite is Sigma’s SigMagic Brushampoo which is specially designed to clean makeup brushes, leaving them spotless and soft!

Step 2: Dip the tips of the brushes into the soapy water and gently wash out the residue. You don’t want to change the shape of the brush or cause the bristles to become lose and fall out.

Step 3: Once all of your brushes are clean, it is time to dry. You can lay them flat on a towel or use a makeup brush drying rack. Sigma also has a Dry’n Shape Tower that allows your brushes to dry in a way that won’t change their shape.

Let them dry overnight for about 6-8 hours and you are good to start using them again in the morning!
