Tie-Front Blouses Aren't Just For Ho-Downs & Country Western Singers Anymore

I remember the day I wore my first tie-front top. It was a summer vacation in Hilton Head, SC and I was around 8 years old. I proudly sported my tie-front top (as displayed in a horrifying “back in the day” photo with my sister and cousins) at least 6 inches above my waistline.

Fast forward to 2k12 and what’s on offer for the approaching warm season, and I can tap into some childhood nostalgia with the return of the tie-front blouse. Only this time, it’s perfectly modern and well on-trend with breezy or crisp materials bedecked in fun prints, subtle patterns, classic denim or bright neon colors. While baring your midriff is purely optional, please don’t follow the styling of my 8-year-old self.
