Tommy Hilfiger's New Surf-Inspired Collection Is For Lazy Sunbathers, Too

Who wants to play hooky and hit the beach? The Tommy Hilfiger Surf Shack capsule collection launched today, and the line, which includes printed bikinis, surf board-shaped clutches and cozy beach hoodies, has us daydreaming about doing just that.

In creating the line, Hilfiger was inspired by American surf culture, and it shows: you’ll find Jeff Spicoli-approved baja hoodies and board shorts for the boys, and a straight-out-of-Blue Crush range for the girls. From Hibiscus-print beach totes to raffia wedge sandals, neon sunglasses and more (editors’ pick: a chambray playsuit that just might replace your favorite cover-up this summer), the line is definitely beach-ready, whether you plan to lounge or actually engage in water sports there (we prefer the former). Surf Shack goes a step further with 5 limited edition surfboards custom-designed by American artists Lola Schnabel, Richard Phillips (shown above), Scott Campbell, Gary Simmons and Raymond Pettibon. Hang ten!

And don’t forget about these other summer must-haves: Sole Society’s new sunglasses, basics under $25 and bustier bathing suits.
