Calling all snow bunnies! Luxury fashion retailer Cole Haan recently introduced its Aspen Chic line, pronounced one of seven fall trends by the oldie-but-goodie company. The line features outerwear and accessories decked out in shearling, mink and rabbit. Although some organizations, who shall remain nameless, would toss a bucket of red paint my way, I find the clothing luxurious. Take, for example, the wool and baby alpaca coat that goes for $1,600. With its detachable mink collar, the jacket is as sophisticated as casual wear gets. However, it’s not quite time to nickname the company “Cool Haan” yet. I see a few items with fringe. I don’t “do” dangle. Equally perplexing are the Gypsy sandals offered as part of the otherwise cold weather line. But, heh, if you’re going to sit by a roaring fire all night sipping hot toddies, who cares what shoes you wear? Find Aspen Chic and other goodies at colehaan.com.
