Trend Alert: Ride in Style with Motorcycle Boots
November 28, 2005
I usually figure a trend is about through when I happen to wander into the kid’s section of a department store and see a million pintsize versions of said popular item all over the racks. This is what happened yesterday when I took a stroll through the shoe department and bumped into a shelf holding six different pairs of itsy-bitsy cowboy boots all of which, I might add, were about ten times more elaborate and a lot nicer quality than the one worn pair I own. Needless to say, I decided quickly that it was time for my feet to move on.
And they have. My new love: motorcycle boots. I love adding them to a girly skirt to shake-up my look with a bit of unexpected masculine flare. And their hardy nature makes them the ultimate winter boot. The only problem is finding a pair that is tasteful enough to wear at work but still badass enough to rock after-hours at a loft party or a trendy bar. I suggest the Gabriella Rocha boot seen here. This kneehigh version is a little more streamlined and svelte than the traditional motorcycle boot which makes it easier to wear around town those days you leave the Harley at home.
