This might be more of a trend alarm . It has me blinking my eyes in disbelief. Squint and you’ll see what I mean. It’s undereye bags – the latest fad among Korean celebrities. Korean women are having collagen injected under their eyes because, I’m told, it looks “cute.” Uh huh. True, these aren’t the same bags one normally develops from stress or after pulling an all-nighter, but this is a weird one. The same country that brought the fashion and beauty worlds, well, actually, I can’t think of anything that’s come from South Korea. Trends usually flow in the other direction – from West to East. Increasing numbers of Asian women are undergoing procedures to achieve Western-style [read: Caucasian] looks such as slimmer noses, double eyelids or even more ample chests, which are less commonly found among Asian women. As a result, Korean plastic surgeons have become peculiarly adept in their field. So in some areas, their American counterparts can learn a thing or two from them. If you, like me, prefer instead to get rid of your undereye bags, Bliss has you covered. The company’s Baggage Handler contains cucumber and cornflower extracts to reduce puffiness, not increase it.
