Trina Turk For Banana Republic: Details On The 'Palm Springs-Inspired' Line
January 24, 2012
A super-fun photo of Trina and a sneak peek of the BR line.
When it rains, it pours. With news of Jason Wu for Target, Karen Walker for Anthropologie and Tony Duquette for Coach, collaboration season is officially upon us. The next confirmed line? Trina Turk for Banana Republic, which will hit stores in June.
Inspired by Southern California’s Palm Springs dessert, the collection will be rife will pool-side staples, like a “deep teal patterned one-shoulder dress” named Coachella. Trina says:
“When we began working together on the collaboration, Simon and I decided early on that the Palm Springs ‘cocktails by the pool’ lifestyle would be our key inspiration for the colors, styles, and prints,” says Turk. “I’m excited to offer this collection of colorful, covetable and unique pieces to Banana Republic customers for summer 2012.”
Luckily, the beachwear won’t cost you the price of a pool boy: prices range from $49.50 to $150. Now, is it summer yet?
