J. Law, you’re the queen of the world…yeah, yeah, yeah. But, um, maybe it’s time to just let your subjects eat cake?

Jennifer Lawrence sparked the Internet’s interest Monday after footage leaked of her giving some serious ‘tude to a journalist during a backstage press conference at the Golden Globes.

As the (clearly nervous!) journalist attempts to ask J.Law about the Academy Awards anticipation, she cuts him off with a curt, “You can’t live your life behind your phone, bro.”

The reporter humbly apologizes and continues to ask Lawrence, “How do you see yourself for the Oscar night?” at which point, J.Law interjects again to clarify that they are at the Golden Globes, not the Oscars, cleverly adding,” If you put your phone down, you’d know that.”

Preface From Equally Annoyed Journalist: reporter in question is clearly a non-native English speaker. Yes, he might be looking at his phone, but probably just to read his notes…? And, um, he wasn’t asking about the Golden Globes, he was trying to gauge how J. Law felt about her Oscar chances.

CHILL, J. Law.
