We're Pretty Sure These Are Next Season's 'It' Shoe--Because They're Isabel Marant
September 27, 2013
Today’s big show at Paris Fashion Week was Isabel Marant. Not only were all eyes on the French designer thanks to her upcoming collab with H&M, but she also always sends next season’s “It” shoe down the runway. First there was the Bekket wedge sneaker, then the Carol sandal and last season was the Scarlet bootie. Basically, whatever Marant shows is guaranteed to be on the feet of every celeb, blogger and street style star next season.
For spring, I know I can’t believe we’re talking about it already either, Marant is all about the t-strap. But of course, she puts her own rock-and-roll themed vibe on them just like she does with everything else. She sent two different styles down the runway this morning. First was a closed-toe bootie in black and beige with studded and non-studded options. Her second style was a flat sandal that’s a mix between a gladiator shoe and Birkenstocks. Just like the booties, the sandals also come in black and beige with studded versions. The best part about both styles though is the pointed bows coming out from the top of the t-straps. It’s just so perfectly Marant with the mix of girly and cool. She proves once again why she controls what you put on your feet, because she does it best.
