Avarca sandals are becoming more and more popular these days, and we’re not surprised. Haven’t heard of them? Neither did we up until a few weeks ago. We knew they were becoming a cool girl trend after seeing them on popular sites like Nasty Gal and Urban Outfitters. I was curious what the deal was with these shoes, so I did some research. They originated in Menorca, a small island off the coast of Spain and were traditionally made for farmers and countrymen. Nowadays, you can find these comfy sandals on the feet of everyone, from the Spanish royal family to fashion bloggers.

There’s just something about these flat sandals that seems so right for summer. The design is classic and will never go out of style. They’re pretty minimalistic, with a thick band around the feet and a slingback ankle strap. Plus, you can wear them with practically anything and easily slip them on and off. We’re really into these Avarca sandals for summer, what do you think of them?
