What Are Your Plans for New Year’s Eve?

As 2010 winds down, most of the folks I know are either heading out to a big New Year’s Eve party or staying at home. Me?  I’m doing the latter and having my own little party with the kids.

We’ll be cooking and eating all day long, and in the evening we’ll watch a couple of movies (please, no more Toy Story 3!) before tuning into one of the countdown shows. We’ll all be wearing something with polka dots for good luck, and my oldest will try to stay up until midnight (he almost did it last year). At midnight we’ll have a toast, jump, and throw money in the air (it’s a family tradition). And we’ll all be fast asleep shortly after!

I know it doesn’t sound all too glamorous, but we’ll all be together, and that’s what it’s all about. And at least we’ll be warm!

What about you and your family? What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? Share in the comments below.
