Valentine’s Day is a family affair at my house. Instead of a fancy dinner at a swanky restaurant, we hang out with the kids at home, eat something low-key, and pop in a DVD everyone can enjoy (probably Megamind this year). And that’s the way I like it.
Don’t feel bad for me—I get spoiled two weeks before V-Day for my wedding anniversary, and my husband treats me like it’s Valentine’s Day everyday. Really. Plus, I’m not a big fan of crowded restaurants or inflated menu prices. He can take me out another night. Ha!
But I wonder how many other moms out there feel the same way I do. Is the 14th still all about the romantic Valentine’s dinner with roses and chocolate? Or are you over it already? Share your Valentine’s Day plans in the comments section below.
