What To Buy On Black Friday—And Every Other Sale Day Of The Season

Gone are the days when the Friday after Thanksgiving was the only time to score great deals—Black Friday has morphed into a full on season. Now retailers are offering huge discounts as early as the day after Halloween, on Thanksgiving Day (way to kill the holiday essence) and right up to Christmas Eve. They even extended Cyber Monday to an entire Cyber Week.

And while it’s great that there are literally months of markdowns now, and you don’t have to buy all the gifts on your list on the actual Black Friday, it’s sometimes hard to know whether you should buy a product now or wait for the prices to drop further. Certain products still tend to go on sale on Black Friday (appliances, iPhones, headphones), but retailers are no longer waiting until Black Friday to offer doorbuster deals (you’ll have to skip the turkey for things like TVs and tablets–those deals are best on Thanksgiving Day).

Knowing when to buy what is where we come in. With some help from DealNews and SHEfinds’ own online shopping expert and CEO Michelle Madhok, we have broken down specific purchases (iPhones, iPads, Zoomer Boomer Dino, Kindle 6) as well as larger categories (home, tech, toys) by the best day or time to buy them (now vs. Thanksgiving vs. Black Friday vs. later in the season). We even took in to consideration when some of the super popular products are likely to sell out so you don’t wait TOO long for the deal and miss out entirely. Behold:
