What To Wear To: A Summer Wedding
May 29, 2009
As summer rolls around, so do the invites to many a rooftop/beach/destination wedding. So be prepared with an outfit you can wear to any one of the random venues that will cordially request your presence.
A long dress is not something to shy away from as long as it’s a.) not white and b.) made of an appropriate material. Stick with one that’s lightweight enough for warmer weather, but not made of weekend-errand running cotton. Pair with neutral, strappy shoes, who’s color – or lack thereof – guarantees money well spent, as they can be worn with anything.
Skip the necklace and go for some colorful hanging earrings instead – they give off a more summery feel. Slip on a cuff for detail on the arm, and pack your bar money (never assume cocktails are free) in a classic clutch with vintage detail.
