We’ve already raved about the gowns, but the other big trend of the night? The statement necklace. Fred Leighton appears to have Hollywood by the throat, sending the most beautiful statement necklaces down the red carpet last night. Taraji P. Henson, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Lane, Penelope Cruz, and many more stars walked the carpet in Fred Leighton jewels, with Amy Adams wearing a Fred Leighton necklace that was featured on the cover of the November 2008 InStyle!

Statement necklaces are a very cost-effective way to get maximum impact out of your wardrobe, changing virtually any outfit into an evening look. Want to snag a dazzling piece for your own jewelry box? This Ileana Creations Swarovski Crystal Choker ($119) or this Lee Angel Crystal Choker Necklace ($272) are gorgeous additions.

If you’re looking for colored stones like the necklace Amy Adams was wearing, try a Good Fortune Necklace from Anthropologie ($48) or this Kenneth Jay Lane Gunmetal Multi Topaz Necklace ($300) for a little color with a rock and roll vibe.
