What To Wear With: A Tunic
August 8, 2008
Our CEO Michelle aired her grievances over the tunic recently, stating that the only things one can wear it with are leggings or skinny jeans – which results in a too-youthful look not appealing to those not of the Lohan fashion camp. So is the over 24 crowd to throw in the towel on the tunic altogether? No! There is an alternative way to wear one that will not only save you from lycra legwear but will also offer you a chic alternative to your evening LBD.
A common misconception is that a tunic has to be paired with pants. Break the mold and try out a streamlined mini skirt instead. This will provide enough coverage underneath without seaming too bulky. When the weather gets cooler, you can add pair of black tights and slip on your favorite black patent pumps to give the ensemble some edge. For jewelry, think gold and opt for bangle bracelets and a pendant necklace to dress things up. Finally, grab a candy-colored clutch to make your outfit pop. Who knew a tunic could party until the wee hours?
