At first we dismissed flatforms as a trend that wouldn’t take. I mean, this is a look that hadn’t been cool since Skechers and the Spice Girls ruled the world (those were the days). But over the past year, we’ve seen these shoes everywhere. From sneakers to mary-janes, almost every type of shoe has been given a lift with a flat platform bottom. And though we are still partial to the wedged version – so much more flattering – we might be coming around on this one.
When worn with the right outfit, flatforms can be a cute alternative to wearing wedges as the weather gets warmer. The trick to pulling off a flatform is to keep it simple. Stay away from sky-high platforms and try to avoid crazy colors and patterns. We’ve rounded up our favorite flatforms that won’t make you look like you stole them out of Ginger Spice’s closet.
