Why You Should Always Bring Baby Powder To The Beach...

Hands down, the one thing I love most about summer is going to the beach. It’s definitely my happy place. What I love less, however, is bringing the beach back home with me in the form of millions of grains of sand that are impossible to sweep off my hardwood floors.

Up until this weekend, I’d just resolved myself to walking on sand in my apartment, but then a friend passed along a genius hack. If you’re a beach bum who also hates bringing sand back home with you, prepare to have your mind blown.

The next time you take a trip to the beach, throw some baby powder in your beach bag. Yes, you read that right–baby powder. Even if you don’t have a baby. Why? It’s the best hack I’ve ever come across for removing sand! All you do is sprinkle on your hands, feet or even flip flops when you’re ready to go home and rub or shake the powder and the sand right off. It works! The baby powder absorbs all of the moisture that’s causing the sand to stick to you, so it’s a cinch to wipe the sand right off.

You’re welcome.

Be sure to check out summer’s best printed dresses, Blake Lively’s Teva sandals and Eddie Borgo for Target.
