n. Also known as floods. Pants that are too short, visually chopping off the length of your leg, generally not flattering.

n. Back flesh bulge from ill-fitting bras.

n. Expensive, killer high heels that make you feel like hot sex every time you wear them. Usually from Jimmy Choo.

n. A girl who has squeezed herself into a dress that is way too small for her.image


n. Dreaded dressing room mirrors that show every last flaw on your body.


n. Fashion insider or someone in the social fashion scene.


n. A disorder marked by making unnecessary online purchases in the wee hours due to insomnia.

Mom jeans:

n. No offense, Mom. Jeans with one of the following: pleats, high waist, tapered ankles.

phony pony:

n. Hair extensions that turn a little pony in a full, beautiful one.


n. A last-minute purchase that you wear out of the store.

spray & Pray:

v. Proven technique of on-commission perfume counter girls everywhere.

The Rachel Zoe Effect:

n. Look popularized by star stylist Rachel Zoe. Usually involves huge sunglasses, layered necklaces and tees, and an “it” bag.

trout pout:

n. Lips that got a little too, well, sculpted.


n. The smooshing effect caused by sports bras. A necessary evil for many.
