Would You Buy Your Child an Aqua Swimsuit? No, Really, Would You?

A few weeks back we wrote a guest post on AOL’s shopping blog about this adorable le top swimsuit. Couldn’t be cuter, right? Apparently, couldn’t be more dangerous, either. A few days after we posted it, we noticed a storm brewing in the comments. One mom recounted how her young daughter almost drowned in the pool because her swimsuit was the same color as the water. She didn’t notice her daughter struggling because her swimsuit blended in so well with the pool water.

Fortunately, that mom’s daughter survived, but it got us thinking: would you put your child in a swimsuit that is the same color as the water your child is swimming in? I’ll admit, this mom’s experience made me think twice about buying my daughter a blue (or even green) swimsuit. When it came time for me to decide on a suit for her, I opted for a pink one and a brown one.

If you’d rather be safe than sorry, check out these brightly colored swimsuit that are sure to make your little on stand out in the pool:
