Would You Let Your Son Wear Nail Polish?
September 20, 2010
There’s no denying Kingston Rossdale, Gwen Stefani’s oldest son, is really cute. But I do wonder sometimes if his parents push him–a little bit too far–to fit in with their rocker-chic images. There was the blonde mohawk and he’s always dressed like a mini rockstar.
Check out his outfit for Gwen’s L.A.M.B. fashion show last week. Now, check out his fingernails. Yup, they’re painted.
Now as long as that’s eco-friendly polish on Kingston’s nails, I can’t really condemn Gwen for letting him wear it. But I do wonder if he asked for his nails to be painted or if his parents painted them because they knew he’d be photographed a lot and wanted to make him look cool.
But let’s say Kingston is starting up a trend here and soon 4-year-old boys around the country start coming home asking for their nails to be polished. Would you let your son wear nail polish?
I don’t have a son, but if I did I probably wouldn’t let him wear nail polish. If you would, here’s a blue shade of Piggy Paint that looks like Kingston’s.
Tell us whether you’d let your son wear nail polish in the comments.
