Jennifer Lawrence shared her thoughts on Donald Trump winning the presidency in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2. Lawrence shares with the mag, “If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world.” Her fellow co-stars agreed as Liam Hemsworth responds to Lawrence’s comment with, “I’ll back you up on that,” and Josh Hutcherson chiming in, “It’s a publicity stunt. It can’t be real.”
Then, Lawrence mentions an anecdote about Trump and a comment someone made to her about him, “I was watching him on the campaign trail and one guy said, ‘I love Donald Trump because he’s saying everything I’m thinking and I just can’t say it because of the PC factor.’ And I’m thinking, ‘You are absolutely right. That’s who I want representing my country, somebody politically incorrect. That will just be perfect.’”
Lastly, she concludes her perspective on Trump’s validity when she compares his running for president to bad reality TV, “I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment,” she says. “It’s either that or it’s Hillary’s brilliant idea.”
So yes, even J. Law has something to say about Donald Trump. Just like her Hunger Games costars, we find ourselves backing her up too. Oh, and we especially love her angle on how this affects Hillary.
