The New York Times has people kind of freaking out. They posted an article Wednesday, July 1, that suggested adding green peas to your guacamole. Apparently, we should trust them (as they said in their tweet) but the world is just not having it.

As stated in the Times article shared via Twitter, “Adding fresh English peas to what is an otherwise fairly traditional guacamole is one of those radical moves that is also completely obvious after you taste it. The peas add intense sweetness and a chunky texture to the dip, making it more substantial on the chip.”
Here’s how a couple people in the Twitter world responded:
@nytimes Possibly the worst food advice ever.
