You'll Wish Nail Art Wasn't Dead Once You Learn These Easy Hacks
May 16, 2014
Although some people are convinced that nail art is on the outs, we are sure that it’s not. We still see it everywhere. In fact, there are so many nail art trends that we can’t even keep track. So why do people think it isn’t “in” anymore?
Well, I thought about it, and I’ve come up with a pretty good theory. People don’t want nail art to be a “thing” because they don’t know how to do it, or they don’t want to spend the time painting extra things on their nails. And I totally understand. We’re busy (and lazy) girls, and I can admit, nail art is hard, not to mention expensive. There are so many different tools and tricks that you’re supposed to use, and all of the colors can be overwhelming. Plus the extra time it takes…
I used to be one of those nail art haters, but that’s just because I am not a good drawer or painter. But since the trend has gotten so big, I decided that I would give it a try. I used all the fancy gadgets and brushes that manicurists use, but nothing seemed to turn out right, until I tried using things that I had laying around my apartment like top coat, bobby pins, and band aids. Household items were a serious game changer. Now, I can make pretty nail art in five steps or less. Want to learn how? Check out my hacks in our slideshow.
