Your Personal Footwear Concierge Is Here: Meet Shoescribe.com
March 9, 2012
If you, like us, can never get enough of beautiful designer shoes, you might want to pop over to Shoescribe.com. Bring your wallet.
Owned by the folks who brought us YOOX, Shoescribe is a new footwear site (just launched on Wednesday!) dedicated to providing a “360 degree shopping experience.” The site blends e-commerce, editorial content, and exclusive services to create “a virtual platform for a unique and interesting medley of shoes and shoe-related content meant to entertain and inspire” (per Shoescribe’s “About Us” section).
Entertaining, inspiring, whatever — let’s get to the goods. There are 778 styles available on the site, including designs from some of our favorites like Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, and Marni. Prices are typical for these high-end names, ranging from $35 for Havaianas to $1,390 for these bejeweled Cesare Paciotti sandals.
You can shop the site gratis, but if you want Shoescribe’s insider access, it’ll cost ya. $149 a year for a membership gets you free shipping, shoe repair, style consulting, and a birthday gift (half off one pair of shoes). Worth it? We’re not so sure — but we feel slightly more persuaded after browsing the truly drop-dead gorgeous styles available on the site. Check out some of our favorites in the slideshow above.
