Back in April, while you were procrastinating at work and trying to avoid spring showers, I was running around the city trying to find the Steve Madden showroom. And when I finally walked in the front door, my jaw dropped. There it was. The entire Peace Love Shea x Steve Madden collab, along with its creators. And the minute I laid eyes on the shoes, I knew it was love at first site. And for the first time in my life, I was actually excited for the fall.
At the preview, I caught up with Shea and Steve as they unveiled their collaboration. While my favorite shoe was the TSTUDIO ($179.95) suede wine-colored bootie, the blogger-designer duo had a different shoe in mind. When I asked Steve and Shea what their favorite shoe in the collection was, they looked at eachother and simultaneously said “the white studded slip-on sneaker” (TFAIRFAX, $149.95). Shea then explained that the entire collab was a mix between her laid-back Cali-girl style and Steve’s NY influence, which I can totally see. For example, the studded slip-on sneakers and strappy sandals are better suited for fall in California, while a New Yorker would be more likely to wear a velvet bootie or knee-high boot.
But regardless of wear you live or what type of shoe you prefer, there seems to be something in the collection that fits everyone’s style needs. There are booties, boots, flats, sneakers and heeled-sandals. Some are more casual, while other’s are more dressy. And since these shoes are so gorgeous (just like Shea), they’re bound to sell out quickly. So if you’re in need of some new shoes for fall, don’t forget to check out this collab. You’ll be glad you did.
