Costco offers more than just bargains; purchasing in bulk is an excellent strategy for keeping your kitchen filled with the nutritious items essential for maintaining good health and losing weight. Fitness and health coach Brandon Johnson recently highlighted three of his preferred low-calorie, high-protein snacks from Costco that support weight loss and are cost-effective.

His recommendations were featured in a new TikTok video. We’ll break down his insights below. At the start of the clip, the coach noted that you might notice how “every time you go to snack, you grab a bunch of food” that is “high in calories,” and this “causes you to over-consume.” To avoid this, he stressed choosing high-protein choices during your next Costco visit.

These 3 'High-Protein, Low-Calorie' Costco Snacks Are a Fitness Coach’s Go-To for 'Fat Loss' and Staying 'On Track'

1. Crisp Power Protein Pretzels

This new Costco snack can help you "lose fat and feel full" since they have "15 grams of protein and only 110 calories," Johnson shared. Moreover, each bag contains 28 grams of complete proteins and essential amino acids, aiding muscle growth and recovery. This crunchy treat provides 56% of the recommended daily protein intake and 36% of the daily fiber requirement.

2. Country Archer Provisions Grass-Fed Beef Jerky

With this second snack Johnson shared, he noted that you can get "140 calories and 20 grams of protein." Prioritizing protein, in particular, is crucial for weight loss, as the coach noted. It helps keep you full, supports muscle maintenance, and boosts metabolism. This snack option is certified gluten-free and Paleo with no preservatives. Made with grass-fed beef, it is free from artificial flavors, preservatives, and MSG.

3. Quest Tortilla-Style Protein Chips

The final Costco treat Johnson showcased in his video is a pack of Quest Tortilla-Style Protein Chips, particularly the Nacho Cheese variety. He noted that they contain 130 calories and, crucially, 16 grams of protein. These "will help you feel fuller, unlike regular chips," he noted, especially "if you want to lose fat." They contain full, dairy-derived proteins that supply your body with nine essential amino acids.

The Bottom Line

Costco is famous for offering top-notch products in large quantities at affordable prices, and their snacks are no exception. According to Johnson, if you're aiming to shed some pounds in a healthy way this year, the chips, beef jerky, and pretzels available here are a great choice. They provide higher protein content and fewer calories, which helps boost your energy levels and keeps you satiated for longer periods, reducing the likelihood of overeating while still allowing you to enjoy tasty treats.
