One of today’s most popular fast food restaurants continues to be Chick-fil-A, which, surprisingly, offers a variety of healthy options.

Around this time of year, people tend to think about and reflect on their health goals, making some changes to their diet and trying to eat more nutritiously. However, that doesn’t mean that every now and then, some fast food doesn’t hit the spot. Luckily, Demi Ouimet, a weight loss content creator who lost 135 pounds, shared one of her favorite “better” Chick-fil-A orders that’s great for slimming down and staying full. Read more about it below.

Demi Shares Her New Chick-fil-A Order For Slimming Down

When people think of Chick-fil-A, their brain often goes to their spicy chicken sandwiches, mac and cheese, and more. While those items can be delicious, they can also be very high in calories and can quickly throw people off track regarding their weight loss journeys.

Although they might not sound fun, some fast food restaurants sell salads that are not only delicious and nutritious, but also customizable. Chick-fil-A is one of those restaurants.

For her healthier CFA order, Demi starts by ordering an eight-count of the grilled nuggets, which are a great source of protein without the added calories from the breading or frying process. She follows that with a side order of the famous Kale Crunch salad. Even though the salad is already dressed, she asks for a side of the restaurant's Spicy Sriracha sauce.

"Your Kale Crunch salad is going to the crunchy almonds," Demi adds in her video. "This is 60 calories; you can skip this if you need to, but I'll include it in the total macros."

Demi Assembles Her Order And Explains Its Macros

To assemble her bulked-up salad, the content creator takes her packet of sriracha sauce, adds it to her container of chicken nuggets, and gives them a good shake so they get coated in the sauce.

Then, she puts her nuggets on top of her salad, adds the almonds on top, and calls it a day.

"The entire meal has 345 calories and 29 grams of protein," she notes, comparing it to what she used to order, which added up to over 1,900 calories.

The grilled nuggets add a decent amount of protein to the meal, while the kale and veggies in the salad pack in some essential fiber, and there are some healthy fats in the almonds, making for a combination that can help curb later cravings.

"So no, you don't have to skip the fast food," Demi adds. "Just choose better options."
