Amy Schumer Flaunts Her Weight Loss In A Red Dress After Deleting Her Old Instagram Posts
Over the last year, the Trainwreck star has been opening up more about the status of her health, the conditions she's been facing, and, most notably, her experience with weight loss medications.
Although some celebrities have left their fans speculating whether or not they've taken advantage of GLP-1 drugs for weight loss, Amy has been rather transparent about it, keeping her fans updated on not only which ones she's taken, but how they make her feel and how she acquired them. She's been battling weight issues on top of endometriosis and Cushing syndrome, and on top of a medication regimen, has undergone procedures like liposuction in an attempt to slim down.
After opening up about starting Mounjaro earlier this year, this week, the mom-of-one made an interesting move and deleted the majority of her photos on her Instagram profile, leaving only new ones up, including a carousel of her showing off her super slim figure in a tight, bright red dress. She wrote in her caption, "I'm feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!"
Amy Schumer Gives Her Fans A Health Update On Instagram
Following her red dress post, which quickly went viral, as many fans and other internet users could not get over how slim she looks, the 44-year-old decided to create a follow-up post with a lengthy update on her health.
The post was also inspired by those who felt she deleted her old Instagram photos because she was insecure about how she looked prior to her 30-lb weight loss, but she shut down those rumors.
"Hey media outlets, I didn't delete my old photos because they were pre-me losing weight," she wrote. "That's a narrative you created. I'm proud of how I've looked always. I have been working to be pain-free, and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome, so my face went back to normal. I am grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son. But your Instagram is not your identity, it's a curation of what you want the world to see, and I feel great, strong, and beautiful, and it's been fun sharing that."
This is not the first time Amy has opened up about her health. In fact, she admitted to using Mounjaro in a since-deleted Instagram post, stating it was working "great" for her after she lost 30 pounds on Ozempic too "quickly." Now, she seems to be doing a lot better and isn't afraid to admit she's embracing her fresh start.
