Kherson, a city that has remained a frontline target of Russian attacks since 2022, saw the actress and activist visiting several hospitals—including a maternity ward and a children’s hospital—to draw awareness to the struggles of civilians caught in the ongoing conflict, according to local reports.
Photos captured the mother of six dressed in all black, wearing gray fingerless gloves and minimal makeup, her hair loose as she spent time with children in a toy room.

Former city council member Vitaliy Bohdanov shared images of Jolie wearing a body armor vest marked with the Legacy of War Foundation logo—a charity dedicated to helping those impacted by war—underscoring her continued commitment to humanitarian causes even in dangerous regions.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, the Mr. & Mrs. Smith icon wrote, “The threat of drones was a constant, heavy presence. You hear a low hum in the sky. It’s become known locally as a ‘human safari,’ with drones used to track, hunt, and terrorize people, constantly. There was a moment when we had to pause and wait while a drone flew overhead. I was in protective gear, and for me, it was just a couple of days. The families here live with this every single day.”

In a newly released email from May 2021, the Oscar winner opened up about the emotional strain of the dispute. “I need to remove all stress,” the Maleficent star wrote to her business manager, according to legal documents obtained by USA Today on Wednesday.
She continued, “I honestly feel I am getting sick from worry. So I would like us to discuss better support. And not continuing relationships that you see cause me stress.”
Jolie also appeared to allude to her brother, James Haven, expressing frustration over their financial dynamic: “Financial situations like Jamie where I just give and give and don’t even get a thank you … is just wrong.”
James, Angelina's older brother, is an actor, producer, and director who began his career working closely alongside his sister in the film industry.
