The couple, who were married for 8 years and share an 8-year-old son named Jack are now both in new relationships, but the truth behind their breakup just came to the light, and it’s so sad. In a recent conversation on her podcast, Faris opened up about the painful end to their relationship, revealing exactly what went down between the pair that had them call it quits.

Faris, who was on the popular TV series Mom since 2013, also has her own podcast called Anna Faris Is Unqualified. On Monday, the 44-year-old actress had Rachel Bilson on the show to discuss their personal experiences in Hollywood as well as romantic relationships, and Faris took the time to open up about her former marriage.
Opening up to Bilson, Faris recounted, “For me, I think after every breakup, at some point I realize that there were a lot of things I ignored that I really shouldn’t have. In hindsight, it felt like my hand was forced. I don’t think it was ever an independent decision,” she said of the split. Faris and Pratt ended things a full four years ago but have agreed to amicably co-parent their son Jack together.
Following up on her previous comment, Faris later answered a listener who called in to ask about breaking off an engagement with a pointed statement that sounded as though she was speaking from experience. Faris answered, “I really feel like calling off an engagement is a smarter, stronger, braver move than what I did. Which was like, well, I guess everyone is expecting this, so let’s just go through with it.”
Pratt is now married to Katherine Schwarzenegger and the couple just welcomed a baby girl together in December. Faris is also in a happy relationship after getting engaged to her boyfriend Michael Barrett in 2019 whom she began dating in 2018. While it seems that she still has some residual feelings about her former relationship with Pratt, at least the pair are both now happy apart!
