Memorial Day 2019 is Monday, May 27, aka only a few weeks away. So many stores will be running promotions for the holiday weekend–but which are the ones worth shopping?
You definitely don’t want to miss Anthropologie‘s extra sale on sale event! Their Kick Off Summer Sale is a great opportunity to stock up on Anthro’s bestselling boho dresses, tops, sandals and gorgeous housewares–for way less.
What Is It?
In 2017, the retailer offered an additional 40% off sale items during the Memorial Day weekend. In 2016, they had an extra 30% off sale. Aka, the sales are getting better and better each year! Unlike their bi-annual Summer Tag and Winter Tag sales, the Memorial Day sale only happens once a year. But they don’t call it a Memorial Day Sale–last year, they called it the “Kick Off Summer Sale.”

If you’re an Anthro lover, you should expect that they will take at least an extra 40% off their “Freshly Cut” sale section. Last year there was a wide selection of items for under $25.
The sale is valid in the U.S. and Canada and there are some exclusions–ie., all full-price items and bigger ticket ones like furniture–so check the fine print.
The Summer Tag Sale usually starts 3-4 weeks later in the third week of June, so if you miss the Memorial Day event, no worries. Also, they often have a Decorating Sale running around this time, too, that features 20% off full-price decor items like furniture, lighting, rugs, mirrors, curtains, wallpaper, bedding and pillows. So if it’s home decor you’re after, you should also keep your eye out for this sale.
They also typically have a 25%-off Dress Sale in June, so this is a great month of Anthro promotions!
Are there perks for loyalty members?
You will likely have to be a member of Anthro’s free loyalty program, AnthroPerks, to access the Memorial Day sale. It takes two seconds to sign up, and once you’re signed up and logged in, the extra discount will be automatically applied at checkout.
What are the prices?
Once you apply the extra 40% off sale, you can expect prices like $36 for curtain panels, $30 for lampshades, 8 x 10 rugs for $500 and their bestselling mugs for under $10.
