The formerly married couple reportedly listed the house in July 2024, but have not had much interest due to the extortionate price. They reportedly bought it for $60,850,000 in cash in May 2023, but several real estate agents told TMZ they overpaid massively. The aforementioned agents have reportedly suggested that they drop the price at least 15% if they want to sell, but they have apparently yet to do so.
According to TMZ, insiders have explained that the Argo actor is very "motivated" to sell the property and is considering "lowering" the price, whereas the Unstoppable star is reluctant to do so and is "dragging her feet." It could also be because she thinks the property is worth the original asking price!
Jennifer Lopez Wants To Keep The Price 'As Is' But Ben Affleck 'Wants To Reduce' It
"Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is," an insider told Us Weekly, adding: "But the real estate market is not there and it's not selling."
Affleck is reportedly aware of the current state of the market and therefore is happy to sell at a lower price, especially if it means he can close the J-Lo chapter of his life for good.
The source dished: "Ben wants to get rid of it because their divorce is over and he wants to cut all ties and have it be done. He just wants it over and to sell it. He wants to reduce the price."
