These Are The Top 5 Hydrating Face Masks To Give You Baby Soft Skin

It should come as no surprise that I constantly have beauty FOMO. I constantly want to try the hottest new skincare trends and I could spend hours watching Shani Darden giving Jessica Alba facials or Pati Dubroff doing Margot Robbie’s makeup. So much so, that after I go down the Instagram rabbit hole scrolling through beauty videos, I tend to purchase items used in those videos based on looks that I love. I love all things beauty and skincare, sue me! As the warmer weather begins to approach, there is one skincare concern that constantly comes up – hydration or lack thereof. When you’re out and about in the sun (applying that SPF I hope!) naturally your skin is going to begin drying out. God forbid you accidentally get a sunburn – then you’re really in desperate need of a solid hydration fix. What better way to quench your thirsty skin than a quick hydrating face mask?

I’m a firm believer that some under eye patches and mask can undo all the wrongs of an indulgent weekend so during the summer you can find me applying one of many moisturizing face masks. If you need a quick remedy for dry skin, try one of these amazing hydrating face masks for instant baby soft skin.

1. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask ($48)

What I Thought:

I don’t think I’ve personally loved a moisturizing face mask more. This recently launched brand by bloggers Lauren Gores and Marianna Hewitt shows off their incredible beauty prowess. With the idea in mind for a mask that works for those who have travel-heavy schedules, this jet-lag mask is both a mask and a moisturizing primer depending on how you apply it. However, you don’t need to be a jet-setter to reap all the benefits of this hydrating face mask. Apply it for 20 minutes and your skin will look radiant, refreshed and best of all, dewy.

What Other Shoppers Thought:

“This is everything I wanted it to be and more! It is so hydrating and can be used many different ways! My skin is only dry in certain areas so I use it specifically when those dry spots flare up. I also use it as an overnight mask and I wake up glowing and plump! I also use it as an overnight mask on my hands to get rid of chapped and cracking knuckles (especially when traveling to cold areas). This is simply the best product ever!”

2. Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask ($22)

What I Thought:

I’ve been a long-time fan of Glossier thanks to their no-fuss product offering and pretty packaging. But that doesn’t mean that this stuff doesn’t pack a serious moisturizing punch. This cream has an almost gel-like texture, it’s that smooth and silky during application. My favorite part is that it has a cooling effect almost similar to aloe vera on a burn. This is one of the best moisturizing face masks because while I used it only twice a week, I definitely noticed that my skin was more supple and soft.

What Other Shoppers Thought:

“This mask is amazing after literally one use my skin was so much softer and plumper! If you have dry skin, meet your new best friend. Also, keep in mind that this has a cooling effect as well, it’s not your skin reacting like a lot of people think before they read the reviews. The way it leaves my skin. feeling after is ridiculously smooth.”

3. Herbivore Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment ($58)

What I Thought:

Not all masks require you to wash them off after 20 minutes and this one is great for those of you who enjoy an overnight mask treatment. This is one of the best hydrating masks for overnight because not only is Herbivore an all-natural brand that gives you peace of mind to keep the product on for a lengthy time, but it’s also a serious game changer that helps with more than one skin care concern. Exotic kokum and shea butter are natural humectants that provide deep hydration and lock moisture into the skin so not only does it help hydrate while you sleep, it also helps fight the signs of aging.

What Other Shoppers Thought:

“Oh my god, I can’t say how much I love this stuff! First of all, it’s purple, which is amazing. Second, it smells so pretty and soft, very much like lavender with some ylang-ylang. It feels so luxurious on the face, it spreads so easily, and my skin absorbs every drop by morning! It doesn’t leave me oily, and I have very acne prone oily/combination skin. I notice a HUGE difference when I don’t use this, even for just a night. My makeup applies better, my skin looks better, my breakouts are far less. I follow this up with the lapis oil, and I am obsessed. EVERYONE should try this! Plus, the name is totally awesome. Who wouldn’t want to tell someone they use moon fruit on their face?”

4. Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask ($162)

What I Thought:

For my birthday, I treated myself to a spa facial at the Sisley Paris Spa at The Carlyle Hotel in New York. It was so luxurious that it left me amazed at how baby soft my skin was afterward. I felt like I had turned back the clocks on my small fine lines. When they recommended this mask to upkeep with the results, I couldn’t bring myself say no. Two months later and I can confidently say it was actually worth the hefty price tag. A little goes a long way but this featherweight mask instantly plumps and moisturizes your face – an effect that lasts for a few days.

What Other Shoppers Thought:

“One of the few masks that I can rely on to consistently give excellent results and an absolute cult that deserves the hype. Even though I’ve used this at least twice a week for a couple of years, I’m always happy (pleasantly surprised) when I look in the mirror the following morning and see a glowing, fresher, more hydrated and better-looking complexion.”

5. Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy™ ($56)

What I Thought:

I’ve recently been turned on to natural brand Farmacy for skincare needs. This mask features an intensely moisturizing combination of honey, propolis, and amino acid-rich royal jelly to help hydrate the skin for a youthful appearance. It also uses glycerin which helps attract moisture to the skin. When gently massaged into your skin, it becomes a cream substance with a warming sensation that aids in relaxing while you wait for this mask to do its magic. I was wary about this mask at first, with it’s thick, wax-like wood-scented formula, but after using it, I was impressed with how it not only moisturized my face but also how it helped soothe my breakouts.

What Other Shoppers Thought:

“I have oily, dehydrated skin and this product has worked wonders for me! I didn’t notice instant hydrating results as I have with some masks, but the morning after I used it my face was hydrated, SMOOTH, glowing, and with consistent use have seen my acne subside. I found that the results have much more longevity than most masks provide. I love this mask and would highly recommend it! One note is that as other reviews have said, it does have a strange, smoky scent. It doesn’t bother me, but if you are sensitive to smells I would suggest sniffing in-store or getting a sample before investing!”
