Ex-Prince Andrew isn’t the only high-profile figure to have faced scrutiny over an alleged association with Jeffrey Epstein, as the recently released Epstein files from U.S. Department of Justice investigations into the late financier have shown.
Bill Gates also reportedly spent time with the late convicted sex offender, something he has since said he seriously “regrets.” Keep reading for more info…
Draft Epstein Email Reportedly Alleges Bill Gates Was Receiving Antibiotics For An STD
Some of the newly-released files include draft emails Epstein allegedly wrote to himself, in which he claimed that the 70-year-old Microsoft co-founder had contracted an STD from who he described as "Russian girls," and was receiving antibiotics. A spokesperson for Gates has denied the allegations.
The draft emails appear to have been written as though they were intended for Boris Nikolic, an adviser to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. According to The Sunday Times, there is no indication that Nikolic was aware of the emails or the allegations contained in them.
According to reports, a draft email dated July 18th, 2013 with "Bill" as the subject includes claims that Gates received antibiotics for an STD. The email reportedly read: "To add insult to the injury you then subsequently with tears in your eyes, implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda, and the description of your penis."
According to People, Gates' spokesperson has strongly denied the allegations. A statement read: "These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false. The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein's frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame."

What Did Bill Gates Say About His Former Association With Jeffrey Epstein?
In an interview with political editor Charles Croucher for 9 News in Australia on Wednesday, February 4th, Gates said he deeply "regrets" spending time with Epstein.
Gates told 9 News that he first met Epstein in 2011 and said he "only went to dinners" with him until 2014. He also denied the allegations referenced in the draft emails from Epstein, including claims that he contracted an STD and hid it from his then wife, Melinda French Gates. He further denied ever going to Epstein's private island in the Caribbean, which has been linked to allegations of abuse involving young women.
"Apparently, Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent. The email is false. I don't know what his thinking was there," Gates told Croucher. He went on: "Was he trying to attack me in some way? Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize that I did that."
Also in the interview, Gates said: "The focus was always, he knew a lot of very rich people, and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health. In retrospect, that was a dead end. I was foolish to spend time with him. I was one of many people who regret ever knowing him."

Internet Reactions
The internet had some interesting reactions, with many people questioning the sincerity of his regret…
"I don't think he regrets it. I think he regrets getting caught," thought one Instagram user. " If he regretted it, he would have not kept it a secret and publicly apologized to all the victims. He isn't sorry for what he did. He is sorry because he got caught," echoed a second.
"Yeah he regrets it because the information has been made public," agreed a third, followed by four eye rolling emojis. "Bill Gates risked his health, his marriage and his reputation, all for what?" asked a fourth, as a fifth said: "Does he know we don't believe him, and we don't care?"
A sixth chimed in: "If he was really sorry then he'd tell the truth about what happened! But he won't so he's only sorry he got caught on the list." "Own it and apologize!" exclaimed a seventh, while an eighth added: "Not sure if I can muster up any empathy at all for Bill right now."
