Carrie Underwood Rewears Her Marciano Dress From The 2005 'American Idol' Finale
The "Before He Cheats" singer rewore the stunning printed Marciano dress she wore way back in 2005 when she was a contestant on the show herself. And it wasn't just worn for any old show – it was worn for the finale, which saw Carrie crowned the winner!
"Same dress, different view," she captioned a video of herself wearing the dress, which she shared with her 13.3M Instagram followers on April 29th. In the video, she says: "2005 'fit check. Still fits."
The "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer styled the dress a little differently this time, though. Instead of wearing her hair in a tightly curled down do like she did back in 2005, she rocked a half up and half down do, with an edgy bun. Her makeup was a lot heavier this time too, as she sported some glamorous smoky eyes and a glossy, plump nude lip.
The Grammy winner explained that she did of course try the dress on ahead of time before committing to rewearing it 20 years later, just in case it didn’t fit as expected.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "We did try it on before I committed. It wasn't like, 'I'm going to wear it.' We wanted to make sure it looked nice… and I was like, she's held up alright!"

"Beautiful then, even more beautiful now!" exclaimed a fourth, followed by the red heart emoji. "I think I'm truly impressed you held onto it after all of these years! Aging beautifully!" complimented a fifth, as a sixth said she looked "amazing in both!"
"Iconic," praised another fan, while someone else added: "I didn't realize that it was the dress she wore, back when she was on the show. She looked amazing last night."
"ICON. Would love to see some of the others 20 years later. Carrie is in a league of her own," commented another fan, followed by the fire emoji. We would also like to see her bring back some of her old Idol looks!
