Kristen Stewart Steps Out In NYC Wearing A Sheer Sequined Skirt Ahead Of Filming 'Late Night'
This week, the Twilight icon was a guest star on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she went to give an interview in honor of her recent directorial debut, the film The Chronology of Water, which was adapted from a novel and stars English actress Imogen Gay Poots. Kristen remained completely behind the camera as the movie's director and has begun opening up about how she looks forward to directing more in the future.
The day of filming her late-night television episode, she turned heads and caused a buzz online when she left her hotel Monday afternoon in a flesh-colored, completely sheer sequined skirt that went all the way down to her ankles. Underneath, she wore a simple pair of black underwear and black leather boots with the skirt.
Combining two different aesthetics, the 35-year-old paired the revealing skirt with a plain, cropped white tee and a black jacket with a red flannel pattern lining. Her black hair was styled into a messy bun, and she sported a pair of oversized sunglasses.
Social Media Reacts To Kristen's Look
Once paparazzi photos of the Love Lies Bleeding star in her creative and racy outfit were shared on social media, fans, fashion enthusiasts, and other internet users had a lot to say about it. While some loved the more inventive look and the actress's confidence in wearing something so see-through, others felt differently and deemed it "confusing."
One Reddit user wrote that the outfit "looks silly," as another slammed it as "so stupid."
"I fully agree with the top part," added a user. "I fully agree with the bottom part. I DO NOT agree with them together."
"Is she wearing a shower curtain?" jokingly asked a user.
"No hate for Kristen Stewart, she looks great," commented a fan. "But can we normalize wearing pants again?"
We'll be curious to see what other outfits 'K-Stew' has in store for the new year, as she continues to do interviews and promote her film. For now, she does seem to be drawing a lot of attention with her risqué streetwear.
