We May Have Just Found The Craziest Bathing Suit Trend Ever–& It Involves Duct Tape?

The fashion industry is constantly cranking out new and innovative trends that push the boundaries, especially when runway season rolls around. After all, this is the best opportunity for every designer to showcase what they’ve been working on, so why not go out with a bang–right?

Well, it looks like the fashion brand Black Tape Project seized this opportunity and used their Miami Swim Week show to do something wild. The models walked the runway wearing stick-on bathing suits, which appeared to be made of duct tape. Yup, duct tape swimwear is happening!

Each stick-on swimsuit was different and left very little to the imagination. Some featured long strips of tape to create traditional bikini silhouettes, while others used mosaic-styled geometric shapes to build trendy tops and bottoms.

They’re actually pretty cool, right? Don’t get us wrong, wearing a bathing suit like this definitely has its setbacks. It has got to be painful to remove each piece, right? And, it must be really time-consuming to get each little piece in the right spot. But, having this control does allow each stick-on bathing suit to adhere to your body, which means it will help you avoid unflattering bikinis that cause things like saggy boobs, muffin tops, and wedgies.
