Thanks to social media, the stakes for creating an Insta-worthy nursery have never been higher in 2019, but what the glossy pictures don’t tell you is how difficult it is to decorate a baby’s room with all the items they need at that level of aesthetic you want.

Creating Pinterest boards is one thing, but creating the space IRL is a whole other. And that’s why we couldn’t be more excited about the groundbreaking partnership between  Decorist and buybuy BABY. The online interior design company has teamed up with the baby merch chain on a nursery design service that will allow any parent to create their dream room, at any budget. It’s so good!

How it works: To start, the Decorist design team curated dozens of room themes, from farmhouse-inspired to desert-chic, that you can peruse and use as a jumping off point for your own space. This is great for those of us who know we want a beautiful space, but are either green when it comes to home decor or are just all over the map when it comes to picking one singular theme. This really helps you narrow it down and get focused.

Next, they’re offering a complimentary consultation in select buybuy Baby stores for you to scope out the 28 vignettes in the Nursery Design Book, and work one-on-one with a Nursery Design Stylist to select furniture and decor from buybuy BABY’s extensive inventory to make it happen.

Within each vignette, from “Mini Modernist” to “Tiny Transitional,” you have more than one crib to choose from, more than one light fixture, etc.–and this is where it becomes really customizable and user-friendly from a financial standpoint. You don’t have to get the $2,000 crib, you can find something similar that has been curated but costs less. Yes!

You can also add the items to your registry (yas!) and create an unbelievably accurate 3D rendering of the room. Just bring your dimensions to the initial appointment, and the Design Stylist will sit with you at the computer to mock up the space. Trust me–the technology and personalized service will blow your mind!

You can also see 9 of the vignettes in person at select buybuy Baby stores. Trust us–being able to look and feel at the rooms is a way better experience than any Pinterest board. You will feel so inspired!

You can even add items that you already own to the 3D design by scanning images into the computer. Seriously, the Decorist’s Room Builder technology is bar none. The rendering is to size and scale of your nursery within minutes. Can we do all the rooms in our house this way?
