An Aesthetics Doctor Breaks Down The Potential Cosmetic Treatments Tom Cruise Has Gotten Over The Years
Dr. Jonny Betteridge is an aesthetics doctor in the UK with his own practice that specializes in cosmetic treatments and procedures. He is also known for creating content that shows his viewers which celebrities have likely used plastic surgery or other enhancements to achieve their current look, and one of his latest examples is none other than Tom Cruise.
"Tom Cruise has lept from helicopters, clung to planes, and raced through explosions," wrote Dr. Betteridge in his Instagram reel caption.
"But his boldest mission might be maintaining a youthful appearance through nearly three decades of Mission: Impossible."
The doctor analyzes the actor's changing face with each Mission: Impossible film, noting how you could see him begin to age between the 1990s and early 2000s before there was a "noticeable shift in his appearance" when he turned 50 years old.
"That's when I think he had his first deep plane face and neck lift," says Dr. Betteridge. "His face has a much tighter and more youthful look."
The professional also notes there was a change in the structure of Tom's face, and in side-by-side photos, you can see the lower half of his face transformed and tightened, convincing him that "this is not just weight loss alone."
He then assumes the dad of three had more work done in 2022, as he seemed to start aging backward, looking more "youthful" and retaining the definition of his lower face versus losing it.

"He's likely someone who's had strategic cosmetic work overtime to maintain an age-appropriate appearance," says Dr. Betteridge at the end of his video.
Once the doctor's video was shared on Instagram, fans of the Top Gun star and other internet users began inserting their opinions on his appearance and whether they believe he's had cosmetic surgery to improve his appearance or look younger.
His face has been a hot topic on the internet for a while now, as since he's been promoting the final installment of the Mission: Impossible films, people have been speculating that he's been dabbling in treatments for a while now.
