Donald Trump Says He Lost Weight 'The Hard Way'
As a result of Trump's slimmer physique, the internet has understandably wondered if he is one of the many famous faces using controversial weight loss drug, Ozempic – an accusation he also faced this time last year, too!
Trump has seemingly publicly denied using Ozempic or any other weight loss medications, despite recent reports suggesting that may not be the case. According to the Daily Beast, there have been "whispers" in the White House that Trump has had some help, shall we say, to lose around 20 lbs. since his last presidential physical in 2020. How interesting!
In an interview with Fox News last year, Trump seemed to deny weight loss injection rumors and insisted that he lost the weight "the hard way." He noted that he wasn't able to "eat like a person" due to all the hectic things going on in his life, adding: "Me, it's a little bit tougher."
HHS Secretary Talks About Donald Trump's Weight Loss
During an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity last month, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke about Trump's 30-lb weight loss transformation, which he has managed to achieve despite still reportedly eating some "unhealthy" foods.
Talking about Trump, Kennedy said, as per The Independent: "I saw him yesterday and I think he's lost 30 lbs." Hannity agreed, saying: "He looks great. And he told me, he's not using… for example, if he has a burger now, he usually doesn’t have it with a bun." Could he have cut himself off before saying that Trump wasn't using Ozempic? Perhaps!
Kennedy, who is publicly opposed to weight loss injections, seemed surprised by this, and responded: "Oh, I didn't know that he was actually changing his diet." He went on to say: "Even with all the – can I say – [expletive] he eats. But he has a genetic system that, like..." This then prompted Hannity to finish his sentence for him and say: "Is second to none."
Melania Trump Is Monitoring Donald Trump's Food Intake
Despite still eating some "unhealthy" foods, Trump reportedly has overhauled his diet – and it's all thanks to the First Lady! This time last year, it was reported that Melania Trump was monitoring her husband's food intake due to being worried about his weight and his overall health.
According to a source, he "dropped at least 30 lbs." thanks to Melania, and people at his Mar-a-Lago club have observed that "he's eating healthier." He's reportedly cut back on "scarfing down ice cream sundaes or chocolate cake with two scoops of ice cream on it," according to the insider.
Donald Trump's Physician Says He Is In 'Excellent Health'
According to White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, President Trump is in "excellent health" for his age. In his most recent health evaluation, Dr. Barbabella reportedly emphasized that Trump remains physically active – most notably through his frequent rounds of golf!
According to People, Dr. Barbabella's report on the president's health said he is "fully fit" to serve, praising his "active lifestyle" for helping "to contribute significantly" to his good health.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also weighed in on Trump's weight loss, reiterating that it has a lot to do with his regular exercise and his overhauled diet, which she praised the White House chefs for. She reportedly told The Swamp: "As the results of his recently conducted physical concluded, President Trump is indeed in peak physical and mental condition as a result of his strenuous schedule working 20 hours per day, his exercise on the golf course, and his diet courtesy of the exceptional White House chefs."
