Ellen Sports Dark Brown Hair At A Paris Gallery Opening With Portia de Rossi
Although she's not a talk show host anymore, the Louisiana native is still getting out and about; it just happens to be overseas. Last year, Ellen and her wife, actress Portia, moved to England for a fresh start. There have been several reasons for their move circulating online, with the couple themselves suggesting they did it following the re-election of Donald Trump in November.
However, others believe the couple felt the need to flee their California home and America in general after the Emmy winner's talk show was canceled after two successful decades on air, after reports and claims came out that there was a toxic workplace behind the scenes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In her latest Netflix special, she even joked that she was "kicked out of show business."
Ellen and Portia are coming up on a year of living in Europe, and they're attending more European events, including a recent gallery opening in Paris earlier this month, where the 67-year-old was photographed showing off her new dark hair color. This is not the first time fans and followers have seen the Finding Nemo star with dark hair, as once she began sharing rare glimpses of her new life in the English countryside, she posted pictures and videos with her new shade, which many believe may be her natural color. Ellen was always known for her signature, super short blonde pixie cut, which pop culture and hairstylists even dubbed 'The Ellen.'
Therefore, once the internet began seeing more updates and videos of her with brown hair, they couldn't get over it. After seeing clips of the long-term couple in Paris, where the brunette's short locks were on full display, Instagram users had to weigh in on the matter, and not all of them were into it.
"I'm not a fan," commented one user.
"Ellen's hair color and style are awful," added another.
One fan wrote, "Ellen, that hair color is not you," as an additional user wrote that she "looks so different now."
