Zara is by far one of the most popular brands in the world. It's international reputation for great style at amazing prices is what has been keeping this brand afloat for years, and people just can't seem to get enough of this fan-favorite brand. But, there's a lot to this company that you probably have no idea about, until now that is! Check out these interesting facts about Zara that you probably had no idea about before.

First off, due to it's stunning modern fashion, you may think that this brand is fairly new. But, it's actually been around since 1974!

Once started as a small one-shop business in Spain, Zara has now branched out quite tremendously! There are over 2,200 Zara stores in 93 countries, including 78 in the United States.

Although the clothes are affordable, Zara is still one of the biggest leading brands in the world. It's worth $11.3 billion!

And the owner of Zara definitely reaps from the benefits of owning such a successful brand. Armancio Ortega, the co-founder of the brand, is always feuding with Bill Gates for the top spot as the richest man in the world. He's currently worth $67 billion!

And the late co-founder (and Ortega's wife), Rosalía Mera, definitely changed history. She was the richest self-made woman to ever exist, and was worth $6.1 billion at the time of her death.

Do you know why Zara is always at the top of the fashion game? Because they put in work! Zara is able to desgin, develop, and produce products in as little as two weeks. That's a lot of time saved in comparison to the months it takes other retail brands to release new products!
