Now that the summertime is here, many of us are focused on keeping up our ‘summer bods’ or not giving in to all the indulgent foods flying around this time of year. However, from time to time, a fast food meal is on the menu.

While fast food is notoriously not so healthy, many health experts and weight loss coaches have found ways to craft relatively low-calorie, high-protein orders that can allow you to enjoy your cravings and get a quick meal while maintaining weight loss progress.

Weight loss coach and TikTok content creator Kelly Story has gone viral for sharing some other go-to fast food orders that can be eaten on anyone’s health and fitness journey. She calls her creations her “ultimate fast food orders for weight loss,” and she’s created one for most of the biggest fast food chains in the country. Read more about four of them below.

6-Inch Buffalo Chicken Sub From Subway

One of Kelly's go-to weight loss-friendly fast food orders is from Subway, which is a great place to order food if you're looking for something other than a burger. According to Kelly's order, you don't have to get a veggie sandwich to stay within a calorie deficit.

Kelly orders the buffalo chicken sub sandwich, noting in her video that it's "so macro-friendly, that you can literally get a 'Footlong' if you want."

However, she gets the sandwich on a six-inch multigrain bread with American cheese and as many vegetables as she wants. Instead of getting mayonnaise or oil, she adds some red wine vinegar and buffalo sauce, which she says is "always the lower calorie option" at fast food places.

Chicken Burrito Bowl From Chipotle

Kelly calls this order from Chipotle one of her "best-kept secrets!"

At Chipotle, Kelly asks for a burrito bowl with chicken, white rice, mild salsa, extra medium salsa, extra lettuce, and extra fajita veggies. It's a nice, fiber-filled meal that doesn't contain any of the high-calorie, more fattening toppings like queso or sour cream. While those toppings can be nice, they add a whole lot more calories than you may realize.

"I promise you, this is so fire," adds Kelly. The bowl comes with a total of 495 calories and a filling of 38 grams of protein.

Almond Milk Latte And An Egg & Cheese Wake-Up Wrap From Dunkin Donuts

When you look for weight loss-appropriate fast food orders, many health experts forget to include breakfast options. But Kelly hasn't! During the fall, when Dunkin Donuts has pumpkin-flavored syrups, her go-to coffee order is an almond milk latte with one pump of pumpkin, sugar-free hazelnut, and sugar-free vanilla syrups.

"It really [doesn't] get much better than that," says a satisfied Kelly in her Dunkin video. She recommends the egg and cheese wake-up wrap for a low-calorie breakfast, which contains only 180 calories.

"I love a good egg and cheese bundle," says Kelly.

"If you're not into spending, like, 200 plus calories on breakfast, this is a great option."

Spicy Blackened Chicken Sandwich And Mashed Potatoes From Popeye's

Popeye's is such an indulgent restaurant with those tempting buckets of fried chicken, but you can still order a meal from there that won't wreck your weight loss progress. For a macro-friendly Popeye's order, Kelly suggests getting the spicy blackened chicken sandwich with a few modifications.

"This is 550 calories by itself, but because we wanna prioritize volume here, we wanna take off the mayonnaise, and that's gonna drop around 100 calories," explains Kelly.

"Since this deletes calories for us, now we can add a side. Once you take off the mayonnaise and the sandwich is only 450 calories, we can add on the mashed potatoes with cajun gravy."

So, you can still fulfill your cravings and get yourself a hefty chicken sandwich with filling mashed potatoes, all while staying within a calorie deficit for weight loss. How great is that?
