Soares describes this blunt, layerless lob cut (as seen on Scarlett Johansson above) to be an "amazing illusion for fine hair." The shorter that base line is, the "thicker your hair will look," she advises.

After Soares' hairstylist could be seen cutting the base line and front pieces of her hair, she then headed towards the back, and "cut up into the hair to ensure that there is no graduation, no layering, and to make everything look super square."

When it comes to the face-framing, long curtain bangs (a la January Jones) that Soares recommends adding, she says: "it's not a big section that I have cut, but it's enough to give me versatility and framing in my styling while still maintaining a baseline at the front of my hair."

"This really is the perfect haircut if you have fine hair because it is not limiting," she concludes. She also adds that it "gives you the illusion of fullness while still giving you a ton of flexibility in your actual styling."

Overall, in the video, Soares also showed how many different hairstyles she was able to sport with this cut, from french braids to updos to loose curls and straight locks. By not getting layers and instead focusing on a thicker, more blunt base line for the lob, she showed just how flattering this celeb-fave cut can be!
