When Gucci unveiled its new swimsuit at Milan Fashion Week, everyone completely fangirled over it. The one-piece swimsuit has since been worn by it-girl celebrities like Hailey Baldwin.
It’s no surprise, really, that the swimwear took off. The sparkling white microfiber swimsuit with Gucci’s vintage-style logo printed on the front is a timeless and classic take on a summer staple. It has a scoop-neck front and low-cut back with crisscross straps. The suit can easily be transitioned from beachside to streetwear by throwing a pair of high-waisted shorts or a skirt over it.
With one-piece bathing suits back on the rise in popularity, we have a feeling this suit will be a new cult classic
Gucci Printed Swimsuit ($490)
But, let’s be realistic--we don’t have $500 to drop on a swimsuit. Honestly, c’mon. Not to mention, one of Gucci’s most popular swimsuits, the One-Piece Swimsuit in Sparkling Lycra® with Gucci Print, can’t actually be worn in the pool! No joke. Look closely at the product description which reads, “Please Note: Due to the nature of this particular fabric, this swimsuit should not come into contact with chlorine.”
Since Gucci prices don’t fit in the average woman’s budget (and we prefer to actually be able to wear our swimsuits to, ya know, swim), we live for finding products that look very similar to the real thing--but for a fraction of the cost.
We searched high and low for one-piece suits that had a similar style and fit to Gucci’s original. Cue the Gucci swimsuit look-alikes from Forever 21. These bathing suits may not be printed with the designer label across the chest, but they do have the same vibe to them.
These vintage looking, graphic one pieces will make you look super fashion-forward when you’re sitting poolside this summer. Best part--they cost less than $23! That’s what we’re talking about.
Customer reviews say these one-piece suits are good quality. For the price, you can't beat that!
Other reviews said, "Super cute and fits well! Love it," "Great suit... Nice fit and good stretch," and "Exactly how I envisioned it."
