Gwyneth Paltrow is the subject of a bombshell new biography by Amy Odell. And she has already come under fire for some of the things that have been exposed in the book!
One anecdote which has already caused a stir online was in relation to what she said in a previous interview about Brad Pitt, who she dated between 1994 and 1997. Social media slammed her as a “classist snob” for insinuating that she was more sophisticated than the Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood actor while they were in a relationship, and claimed she educated him on many things, including caviar.
She controversially said: “Brad and I had very different upbringings. So when we go to restaurants and order caviar, I have to say to Brad, ‘This is beluga and this is ossetra.'” But the Fight Club alum wasn’t the only Hollywood A-lister mentioned in the biography…
Gwyneth Paltrow Seemingly Calls Ben Affleck 'A Lying, Cheating Scumbag'
Odell also mentioned Ben Affleck in the book, who Paltrow dated on and off from 1997 to 2000. The pair have quite an interesting history, having met at a party hosted by Harvey Weinstein and then starring in several movies together, including Shakespeare in Love, for which Paltrow won her Oscar, and Bounce.
Odell writes: "Their physical chemistry couldn't overcome his self‑destructive impulses, which may have even included cheating on her." After their rocky relationship came to an end, the Goop founder said, as per the book: "I love men, even though they're lying, cheating scumbags." Ouch!
Now she didn't directly reference the Gone Girl actor by name when she made this infamous comment, but it's very likely that he was who she was referring to, as the comment was made quite soon after they had broken up.

Gwyneth Paltrow Says Her Parents Didn't Approve Of Their Relationship
Affleck's alleged infidelities were a recurring theme during their relationship, which is why most people think the Batman v Superman star is who she was referring to. Paltrow also touched on their relationship in an interview with Diane Sawyer back in 2003, and explained that he "was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend."
According to Odell, Affleck was "struggling with alcoholism and a gambling problem" during their relationship. And that's not all, as the Air actor reportedly "didn't always reciprocate her affection," and "at times seemed more interested in playing video games with the guys at his house than being with Gwyneth."

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the mom-of-two even admitted that her parents – film producer Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner – were not fans of the Deep Water actor, seemingly preferring the F1 actor instead!
She said at the time: "I think they were okay with the first guy [Brad Pitt.] I think they appreciated how he's super intelligent, and he's really talented and so sweet to my family. Ben's... um, he's got a lot going on, you know?"

Ben Affleck's Badboy Reputation And Infidelity Rumors
Although she didn't say much else at the time, it was widely speculated that Affleck's partying and alleged affairs contributed largely to their breakup.
In the years since their breakup, the Tender Bar actor developed a reputation for being something of a Hollywood bad boy, which only got worse over the years due to his well-documented struggles with addiction, as well as ongoing relationship dramas.
During his marriage to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children, Affleck was accused of having an affair with the family's nanny, Christine Ouzounian, in 2015. Although he has always denied the rumors, the allegations turned into a huge media scandal, and seemed to play a significant role in his divorce from the 13 Going on 30 star.
