While on the surface, it would look like the biggest shock for this “Nashville” star, is the short hair-do styled by Anthony Leonard, Panettiere is no stranger to the pixie cut. This point brings us to our next jaw-dropping news surrounding Panettiere’s return to social media. The potential release of Scream 5 and the reappearance of Panettiere’s beloved character, Kirby.

In the movie, it’s assumed that Panettiere’s character Kirby dies, but no one sees it happen on film. Could the new pixie be a sign that Kirby got away and is ready to shock fans everywhere in the latest installment of the films (if there is one!)?
