Last weekend, Donald Trump was invited to do the coin toss at the Army-Navy football game, but seemingly had never done one before—or at least that’s what social media is saying. It’s a long-standing tradition for sitting presidents to do the coin toss for the annual Army-Navy football game, which took place at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium this year. Of course, Donald Trump participated, but there hasn’t been much chatter about a coin toss until now.
After receiving the coin from a referee, Trump placed it in his palm and simply lofted it into the air, resulting in zero revolutions. The coin landed on tails in favor of the Army Black Knights, though the Navy Midshipmen ended up winning the game by a single point. Though there hasn’t been any commentary about the close game, instead, Trump’s coin toss has gone viral on social media.
